The International Pharmaceutical Students’ Federation (IPSF) was founded in 1949 in London, the United Kingdom, by eight pharmacy student associations. The Federation now represents approximately 500,000 pharmacy students and recent graduates in 100 countries worldwide. IPSF is the leading international advocacy organisation for pharmacy and pharmaceutical science students. We promote improved public health through the provision of information, education, and networking opportunities as well as a range of publications and professional activities.
The five regional extensions of the Federation are the:
- Asia Pacific Regional Office (APRO);
- African Regional Office (AfRO);
- Eastern Mediterranean Regional Office (EMRO);
- European Regional Office (EuRO);
- Pan American Regional Office (PARO)
Founded in 1999, the Asia Pacific Regional Office (APRO) is the oldest IPSF regional office. IPSF APRO is made up of diverse cultures, languages, and pharmaceutical societies within the Asia-Pacific region, consisting of 21 countries, 33 associations and approximately 70,000 members.
