Background Description:
The VNU HCM PO, Vietnam was established in October 2018 and successfully became a Member in Association of IPSFin 2019.
Our aims are to provide global health knowledge for members, opportunities, and improve necessary skills for future generations. Therefore, we also focus to build an open environment for members to exchange knowledge, experiences, ideas and culture, develop the necessary skills through events and increase opportunities for members by participation in IPSF events.
Our vision is to be capable of providing confident and intelligent pharmacists to participate in and influence the society.
Projects
Mental Health Day: Stress Garden
The “Stress Garden” Project is based on Gardening Therapy which has evidence in research that can improve mental health and reduce stress by keeping a balance between the soul and the environment. This project allowed our team and students to plant some trees at the area surrounding the Herb Garden and also have a chance to decorate pots and plant stone lotuses by themselves, which was a refreshing activity. After that, students could take their own plants home and take care of them.
Sexual Harassment Talkshow
This project allowed speakers and members to carry out discussions about sexual harassment - a sensitive but important and urgent issue among the public. Our members shared their stories, perspectives, sympathy for the victims and had a chance to learn how to overcome or handle any sexual harassment in a very unpredictable condition.
